Cleveland Browns star pass-rusher Myles Garrett suffered a shoulder and biceps strain as well as minor lacerations in a one-car accident following Monday's practice, the team announced Tuesday.

Garrett didn't suffer any fractures and cleared concussion protocol after undergoing a medical evaluation on Tuesday. He was released from the hospital the same day he had his injuries treated.

"First - and most importantly - we are thankful that Myles, his passenger, and no other parties were seriously injured in the single-car accident yesterday," the Browns said in a statement.

Garrett is considered fortunate after his Porsche appeared to have flipped several times before stopping at the side of a rural road. The two-time All-Pro defender and an unidentified female passenger were wearing their seatbelts.

Both of the car's occupants were taken to a local hospital, but the passenger's condition has not been revealed.

Ohio State Highway Patrol doesn't suspect drug-impaired driving as a factor in the incident. The crash remains under investigation.

The team will evaluate Garrett's status for Sunday's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons as the week goes on. The three-time Pro Bowler has tallied seven tackles, four tackles for loss, and three sacks through the first three games of the season.
