Hamilton police investigating ‘targeted’ shooting on west Mountain
Hamilton police are investigating a shooting on the west Mountain.
Police say they received reports of gunshots heard in the area of Garth Street and Rymal Road West just after 11 p.m. Thursday.
No one was injured.
At the scene, police confirmed shots had been fired at a home as well as a vehicle parked in the driveway.
Hamilton police responded to the area and confirmed that a residence and an unoccupied vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence had been struck by gunfire," police said. The home was occupied at the time of the shooting but fortunately no injuries were sustained."
Police said they believe the shooting to be targeted, and ask residents to check cameras in the area.
