Report: Patriots' Harris to miss multiple games with hamstring injury
New England Patriots running back Damien Harris is expected to miss multiple games due to a hamstring injury, a source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Harris will get additional tests to confirm the timeline of his ailment, Pelissero adds.
The 25-year-old, who's led the Patriots in rushing in each of the last two seasons, sustained the injury in Sunday's win over the Detroit Lions. Harris rushed for 257 yards (4.5 per carry) and three touchdowns through five games this season.
The 2019 third-round pick set career highs with 929 yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground across 15 games last year.
With Harris sidelined, Rhamondre Stevenson will likely get more snaps. The second-year rusher racked up 372 yards (5.5 per carry) and one touchdown this season. He had a career-high 25 rushing attempts for 161 yards against the Lions.
The Patriots' running back depth chart also features fourth-round rookie Pierre Strong.
