Washington Commanders quarterback Carson Wentz is dealing with a biceps tendon strain near his throwing shoulder but will play through the injury Thursday against the Chicago Bears, sources told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Wentz is reportedly sore and not 100% healthy, and there were doubts earlier in the week about his status for Week 6.

The signal-caller suffered the injury in last week's loss to the Tennessee Titans. Wentz produced a solid performance against the Titans - 359 yards and two touchdowns - but threw a game-ending interception on the goal line as time expired.

The Commanders sit at 1-4 in their first season with Wentz under center following an offseason trade from the Indianapolis Colts.

Washington's offense will be shorthanded against the Bears, with receiver Jahan Dotson and tight end Logan Thomas sidelined due to hamstring and calf injuries, respectively.
