At least one person was treated by paramedics after Hamilton firefighters rescued a pair of hikers near Dundas Peak Sunday.
Fire crews were called to the area of Dundas Peak near Ofield Road South around 3 p.m.
Two people could not get out of the area without help, said deputy fire chief Steven Welton in an emailed statement.
Firefighters had to extract the pair using ropes and a harness. One of them was carried out on a stretcher.
Welton did not know the person's condition and Hamilton paramedics did not respond to inquiries from The Spectator on Monday.
The Hamilton Conservation Authority, which is responsible for the Dundas Peak area also did not respond to interview requests.
