The Indianapolis Colts have relieved offensive coordinator Marcus Brady of his duties, the team announced.

Brady's termination comes as Indianapolis ranks 30th in the NFL in scoring with an average of 16.1 points per game. Under Brady this season, the Colts have been held to 20 points or fewer in seven of their eight games.

The Colts brought Brady onto their staff in 2018, where he started as an assistant quarterbacks coach. Indianapolis promoted him to offensive coordinator in 2021 following Nick Sirianni's departure.

The franchise found success in Brady's first year as coordinator, averaging the ninth-most points per game with 26.5. Jonathan Taylor also rushed for a league-leading 1,811 yards during the campaign.

The firing is the second major move the 3-4-1 Colts have made on offense after the team elected to bench veteran Matt Ryan in favor of second-year quarterback Sam Ehlinger last week.
