Broncos trade Bradley Chubb to Dolphins

The Denver Broncos are trading linebacker Bradley Chubb and a 2025 fifth-round pick to the Miami Dolphins, the Broncos announced Tuesday.

In return, the Broncos receive the San Francisco 49ers' 2023 first-round pick (which Miami acquired before the 2021 draft), the Dolphins' 2024 fourth-rounder, and running back Chase Edmonds. The trade is pending physicals.

Miami is expected to work out a long-term contract with the newly acquired Chubb, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Many teams were interested in Chubb heading into Tuesday's deadline, according to theScore's Jordan Schultz.

A first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Chubb adds much-needed pass-rush help to a Dolphins team ranked 23rd in sacks. He has 5.5 in eight games this season.

Chubb, 26, joins a pass-rushing unit led by 23-year-old Jaelan Phillips, whom the Dolphins drafted in the first round back in 2021.

For the Broncos, they add Edmonds to a running back room that already includes Melvin Gordon and Latavius Murray. Edmonds has 120 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 42 carries this season.

Miami also acquired running back Jeff Wilson from the 49ers on Tuesday for a 2025 fifth-rounder, according to Schefter.
