Indianapolis Colts interim head coach Jeff Saturday is expected to name pass game specialist/assistant quarterbacks coach Parks Frazier as the team's new offensive play-caller, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

The Colts also considered quarterbacks coach Scott Milanovich for the position, a source told ESPN's Stephen Holder. Milanovich served as the interim play-caller for the Jaguars over the final five weeks of the 2018 season.

Former head coach Frank Reich brought Frazier in as the assistant to the head coach in 2018. He moved to offensive quality control coach in 2020 and has been the assistant quarterbacks coach for the last two seasons.

Reich had been the Colts' offensive play-caller since he was hired in 2018. Frazier helped Reich with the practice plans, call sheets, and game scripts, according to Pelissero.

The Colts fired Reich on Monday. He spent four-and-a-half seasons with Indianapolis, finishing with a 40-33-1 record.

Consistently moving the ball on offense has been a notable problem for the Colts this season, as they rank 27th in yards per game.

Saturday announced that Sam Ehlinger will remain the starting quarterback Monday.

The Colts will take on the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
