Arrest warrant issued for private tutor from Hamilton accused of sexually assaulting 3 children
Hamilton is under a winter travel advisory.
This means the area from Niagara Falls through Hamilton to Windsor, including Haldimand-Norfolk and most of southern Ontario, could see between five and 10 centimetres of snow by Wednesday morning.
In an update at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, Environment Canada warned of slippery roads, reduced visibility and two additional centimetres of snow.
Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for tail lights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. If you must drive, be prepared for areas of poor visibility," the warning says.
Snowfall could exceed 10 centimetres in a few locations, the weather service added.
This is the first significant snowfall of the season.
The weather service is calling for periods of snow to end Wednesday morning, with a 40 per cent chance of flurries or rain showers before noon. Wednesday's daytime high is expected to be 2 C, with the overnight low into Thursday -2 C.
