Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray said he's been dealing with a hamstring injury since the 34-26 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8, according to Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.

Murray added that he tweaked the injury again in the following week's 31-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

"Once it happened the next week, I kind of knew it was probably best for me to let it rest," Murray said Wednesday. "Once it happens, it's unfortunate, but it happens. It's a part of the game. We all go through it. You never want it to be yourself, but you try to get back as quick as possible."

The 25-year-old wasn't listed on the team's injury report ahead of Week 9. The NFL could levy fines, suspensions, and draft pick forfeiture if it chooses to penalize the Cardinals for violating league rules regarding injury disclosure.

Murray said his hamstring feels "a lot better," but he's unsure if he'll be ready to suit up Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City.

The injury forced Murray to miss the team's Week 10 win over the Los Angeles Rams. Colt McCoy, who started in his place, is now also dealing with a knee injury. Trace McSorley is the only other quarterback on the roster.

Murray said he needs to be able to sprint to feel good enough to go.

"It's just one of those things of trial and error. ... Every athlete (must) listen to (their) body," Murray said. "How's your body feeling? What's it telling you?"
