Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has cleared concussion protocol, putting him on track to start Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints, the team announced.

Stafford missed the Week 10 defeat to the Arizona Cardinals, and head coach Sean McVay said earlier this week that he expected the veteran to clear protocol in time to return Sunday.

The 34-year-old fully participated in practice throughout the week and did not receive an injury designation for the meeting against the Saints.

John Wolford threw for 212 yards with a touchdown and interception in Stafford's place during the loss to Arizona.

Stafford will aim to dig the Rams out of a 3-6 start to the 2022 campaign. The reigning Super Bowl champions have struggled offensively this year, averaging just 16.4 points per game, good for 29th in the NFL.

The signal-caller has also endured his share of troubles under center. Stafford has thrown for eight touchdowns to eight interceptions while being sacked 28 times in eight starts.
