Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is active for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings after missing the last two contests with a knee injury.

Elliott said during the week that he was optimistic he would be able to play after participating in all three practices in a limited capacity.

Tony Pollard has starred in Elliott's absence, racking up 246 yards and four touchdowns in two starts. Pollard will get more touches against the Vikings as the Cowboys ease their star back in, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Elliott has 443 rushing yards and four scores this season.

Dallas (6-3) is looking to rebound from an upset loss to the Green Bay Packers last week, while Minnesota (8-1) is coming off a win over the Buffalo Bills in one of the best games of the season.
