Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields is considered day-to-day after injuring his non-throwing shoulder during Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, head coach Matt Eberflus announced Monday, according to ESPN's Courtney Cronin.

"We'll see where he is on Wednesday," said Eberflus.

Fields, who appeared to be in discomfort during the fourth quarter, is dealing with a shoulder dislocation, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The sophomore has taken significant punishment this season due to an inconsistent offensive line and a heavier workload as a runner. He's been sacked 40 times (eight more than any other quarterback) and has carried the ball 122 times.

Fields is amid a breakout year despite the Bears' 3-8 record.

The young signal-caller has thrown for 1,642 yards and 13 touchdowns against eight interceptions while adding seven scores on the ground. Moreover, his 834 rushing yards lead all quarterbacks and rank fifth among all players.
