The New Jersey Devils extended their winning streak to 13 games with a 5-2 victory against the Edmonton Oilers on Monday.
Their 13th consecutive win matches the Devils' franchise record, set during the 2000-01 season.
After entering the second period tied at one, New Jersey jumped out to an insurmountable lead in the middle frame on goals from Dawson Mercer and Damon Severson.
The Devils will look to break the franchise record Wednesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
