The Los Angeles Rams will be without defensive lineman Aaron Donald against the Seattle Seahawks due to an ankle injury, head coach Sean McVay announced Wednesday.

Donald sustained a high ankle sprain in the Rams' 26-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday.

The perennial All-Pro has just 49 tackles and five sacks in 11 games, but advanced metrics still have the 31-year-old among the NFL's best interior defenders. Donald has a 90.5 PFF grade this year.

This will be Donald's first missed game since 2017 and only the third missed contest in his career.

Defensive linemen Michael Hoecht, Jonah Williams, and Bobby Brown III will likely see more playing time with Donald unavailable and fellow starter A'Shawn Robinson on injured reserve.
