Two fresh faces will join the newly re-elected Victorian government's frontbench after a group of right-aligned Labor MPs defected to the left faction of the premier, Daniel Andrews.

Almost a week after leading Labor to a resounding third successive election win, Andrews unveiled a marginally tweaked cabinet after caucus met on Friday afternoon.
