Buoyed by a raucous home crowd, The Toronto Rock scored early and often, cruising to an 19-8 win over the visiting Vancouver Warriors in their 2022-2023 National Lacrosse League season opener at FirstOntario Centre.
Toronto's Mitch de Snoo led the way with 3 goals, while teammate Tom Schreiber collected 8 points on the night. Adam Charalambides had a pair of goals for the Warriors.
The Rock play next Saturday in Rochester before returning home Dec. 17 for a match against cross-border rivals Buffalo Bandits at 7 p.m. at First Ontario Centre.
