A Burlington restaurant once known for its elevated Thai dishes will be reopening in downtown Hamilton.

PinToh Cuisine closed its Lakeshore Road eatery early this year, noting that it was not a goodbye, it's a see you later," in a seemingly temporary farewell post on social media.

Now, the restaurant is set to make a return as PinToh by Chef Keng, moving into the former home of Bambu and My-Thai at 21 John St. N.

An opening date has not yet been announced, however local Instagram user Jennifer Shin, who runs @tastehamont, recently posted an exterior shot of the building, which has a sign for the restaurant mounted to the front, to social media.

So excited to share that Pintoh is reopening! And in Hamilton," read the post. This was (probably) the hardest news I had to keep to myself."

It's unclear if the menu of the new location will match that of the Burlington restaurant, but it's likely to include staples such as fresh rolls, pad thai and massaman curry - all of which were tasted by former Spec food reviewer Diane Galambos.
