A man in his 30s was taken to hospital after being stabbed at the City Centre mall, according to paramedics.
Emergency crews were called to 77 James St. N. around 3 p.m. and paramedics said the victim has life-threatening injuries.
An investigation is underway by the Hamilton police. A scene was being held just outside the doors of the mall. Inside, there was blood on the floor next to a crumpled article of clothing.
This is the last month for the City Centre mall's operation. Retailers have been asked to vacate the space after Christmas as the owner of the building forges ahead with redevelopment plans.
