Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim is taking an indefinite leave of absence for health-related reasons, the team announced Wednesday.

Vice president of player personnel Quentin Harris and vice president of pro personnel Adrian Wilson will take over for Keim on an interim basis.

Keim, 50, is in his 10th season as the Cardinals' general manager. Arizona has posted an 80-76-2 record with three playoff appearances under his leadership. In February, Keim and head coach Kliff Kingsbury inked contract extensions through 2027.

It's been a tumultuous campaign for the Cardinals, who dropped to 4-9 after Monday's loss to the New England Patriots. Quarterback Kyler Murray also tore his ACL during the opening drive and will miss the rest of the season.

Murray, one of two first-round quarterbacks Keim drafted for the Cardinals, signed a five-year, $230.5-million extension in July.
