The Dallas Cowboys activated offensive tackle Tyron Smith from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team announced Saturday.

The eight-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman participated in his first padded practice of the season on Thursday.

Smith, who has logged over 7,000 career snaps at left tackle, was spotted working at right tackle during practice this week. He has previous experience anchoring the right side of the offensive line after playing there during his rookie year in 2011.

Dallas lost its previous starting right tackle Terence Steele to a season-ending knee injury last weekend. Meanwhile, Smith has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring tendon injury in August that has wiped out most of his 2022 campaign.

Aside from Smith, veteran Jason Peters and Josh Ball could also be options to man the right side of Dallas' line.

The Cowboys enter Sunday's matchup against the Jaguars riding a four-game win streak.
