‘Do the right thing’: Family of Hamilton man killed in Brant County hit-and-run appeals to driver
Kevin Lee Taylor won't make it home for Christmas.
The 65-year-old Hamilton man was killed in a hit-and-run along Muir Road North near Third Concession in Brant County on Sept. 25.
In a video posted to Twitter, Ontario Provincial Police and Taylor's family are appealing to the driver of the pickup truck that struck him to come forward.
You didn't stop ... you just ran away. I mean, you gotta do the right thing," Dennis Taylor, Kevin's brother, urges.
Kevin was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy whose wife had recently died. OPP were called to Muir Line - also known as Muir Road North - for reports of a person lying in the road about 1:20 a.m. on Sept. 25. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A family's like a puzzle, now we're missing a piece ... what happened, that's all I want to know," Dennis says.
OPP Brant Const. Conrad Vitalis said the Ford F-150 believed to have struck Taylor would have damage to the front right corner and be missing a passenger side mirror.
Anyone in the area of Muir Road North and Third Concession between midnight and 1 a.m. on Sept. 25 is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122.
