What's new in Hamilton!

Plank Restobar: An Oakville fan favourite is now open on Augusta Street. They are known for their small plates perfect for sharing and their extensive wine, beer, and bourbon selections.

Hottie Smash Burgers: Hottie Smash Burgers will be moving from their Toronto location to Hamilton (657 Barton St. E.). Not only are they known for their smash burgers, but also their all-beef hot dogs and cheese fries. Hamilton is in for another delicious fast-food restaurant. And definitely a welcome addition to Barton Street.

Conversate Restaurant: A new steak and seafood restaurant is now open in the heart of downtown Hamilton (38 King William St.). They describe themselves as a modern twist to a traditional steak house. This fine dining restaurant is getting lots of hype from Hamilton residents.

Goldie's fast food: Burgers, fries, fried chicken, and sundaes - what more can you ask for? Goldie's Fast Food is located in downtown Hamilton at 152 James St. S. and is now open to satisfy your fast-food cravings.

Lady Glaze Doughnuts: If you are a fan of sweets and doughnuts then you must have heard of Lady Glaze. Their delicious doughnuts are popular in their Kitchener, Cambridge, Guelph, and Stratford locations and now we have our very own location in Hamilton at 586 Concession St. They sell out often and on their opening day, there was a huge lineup too. Their doughnuts are made daily and you can find vegan and even gluten-free options available.

Mystic Ramen: Their bricks and mortar location is now officially open at 51 King William St. They are still in the process of renovating their new space so there are limited seats, but they can do takeout and delivery still. You will find their popular ramen and now they can serve liquor too.

My Father was Famous: A speakeasy located in the basement of Caro (229 James St. N.). You will need a password to enter, so head over to their Instagram account to see when they post their clue. You will find fun cocktails and delicious snacks as well.

SimSim Restaurant: SimSim is a brand-new restaurant that just opened up in Stoney Creek (1-141 Hwy 8). You will find Lebanese street food here, from fattoush salads to homemade pita, and shawarma platters.

The Coop Wicked Chicken recently opened in Waterdown, and this is their third location. Along with their Hamilton and Burlington locations, you can find them now at 94 Dundas St. E.

11:11 Raw Bar: Another secret lounge located in the basement of 150 James St. S. Not much information on this bar yet but looks like drinks and a raw oyster bar. You will need a password to get in as well so make sure you follow them on social media.

Ios Agora Bakery: Now open in Ancaster at 821 Golf Links Road #7. You will find all your favourite Greek baked goods, cakes, bread, and other household items here.

What's Closing in Hamilton

Relay Coffee's farmer's market location is closing, but you can still find them at their Staircase location as well as their King William location (27 King William St.)

Maya's Eastern Bakery is now officially closed at its 829 King St. E. location.

Crown Point Market quietly shut their doors to their Ottawa Street location. Looks like another nonfood business is lined up to be opening there in the new year.

Waterdown Tea House's owners are retiring and have closed their tea house in Waterdown.

Hello Baked has closed down its Barton Street sweets shop. They will continue to take corporate orders in 2023.

What's Changing

Mat Salleh will be rebranding and closing its location at the farmer's market but opening a brand-new spot at Main and Sherman in the new year.

Best Burger Land is formerly known as Burger Lab in the east end of Hamilton. You can find them serving halal burgers at 201 Ottawa St. N.

No Bones Kitchen is now closed in the farmer's market. Chef Fraser will be focusing on his cooking classes and selling his dips and other vegan goodies in various Hamilton locations.
