Chargers designate Bosa to return from IR
The Los Angeles Chargers designated edge rusher Joey Bosa to return from injured reserve Thursday.
The 27-year-old was shut down following a Week 3 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars because of a groin injury that required surgery.
Bosa is now able to practice with the team. He has 21 days to be activated to the 53-man roster before he reverts back to IR for the rest of the season.
The Chargers face the Los Angeles Rams at the shared SoFi Stadium on Sunday before traveling to Denver to take on the Broncos in Week 18.
The Chargers already guaranteed their spot in the postseason, but their final two games will affect seeding with the other wild-card teams. The Kansas City Chiefs secured the AFC West crown with a 30-24 overtime win over the Houston Texans in Week 15.
Before being shelved, Bosa had seven combined tackles, 1.5 sacks, four quarterback hits, and a forced fumble.
