'So surprised': Oakville man buys Lotto 6/49 ticket at Shoppers Drug Mart and wins big

John Brennan was pretty happy when he saw that adding Encore to his Lotto 6/49 ticket paid off. But he was 1,000 times happier when he saw what he actually won.

I checked my ticket on my phone and thought I won $100," the Oakville resident said. I showed my wife and she thought it $100 at first too."

But Brennan did much better than that. He had matched the last six of his seven Encore numbers in the Nov. 5 draw to win a $100,000 prize.

We were both so surprised," Brennan said.

He plans to set his winnings aside for now.

Brennan bought his winning ticket at Shoppers Drug Mart on Third Line in Oakville.
