Hamilton's newest golf simulator has opened, giving residents another option to kick the wintertime blues.

Doors at the Stoney Creek golfer-tainment business, Swing Zone, swung open Dec. 28, with seven private suites that simulate over 250 courses," said co-owner Robert Nguyen.

Swing Zone uses the Trackman simulator," Nguyen says, it's the one the pros use, like Tiger Woods."

Golfers can tee off in groups of four with a simulation of the PGA National course in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., or play something more local with a simulation of Oakville's Glen Abbey.

Seasoned golfers can bring their own clubs and balls and book time slots starting at $50 per hour to play 18 holes. For beginners, club rentals are available, as are professional trainers.

The 1290 Arvin Ave. venue offers league play and plans to offer 24-hour-a-day indoor golf in the spring. To book a room, go to swingzone.ca.

If no tee times are available at Swing Zone, there are other indoor golf options, including:
