Ontario Provincial Police seeking Ronald James Clause

Investigators from the Haldimand detachment of the OPP are seeking the public's help in locating Ronald James Clause, who is wanted on outstanding warrants.

The OPP holds arrest warrants for the 53-year-old for:

Kidnapping while using a firearm;

Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose;

Unauthorized possession of a firearm, and;

Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.

None of the charges have been proven in court.

Clause is described by police as an Indigenous man, about five feet eight inches tall and weighing 230 pounds with a muscular build. He has blue eyes and brown hair. He is known to frequent Hagersville and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

Police are warning members of the public not to approach Clause if they see him, as he is known to carry weapons and can be violent," according to a news release sent out by Const. Conrad Vitalis. Instead, they should call 911 immediately.
