An early morning fire did serious damage to a local neighbourhood.
At roughly 2:30 a.m. on Jan. 28, emergency services were called to Beckett Court, near Upper Middle Road and Walkers Line in Burlington. When firefighters arrived, smoke and flames could be seen emanating from a structure.
It took 19 emergency personnel roughly six hours to extinguish the fire. One person was injured and there was an estimated $1 million in damages.
The cause of the fire is still undetermined, but it is believed to have originated from the garage.
The Fire Marshal is investigating.
