Wide receiver Deebo Samuel said he believes the San Francisco 49ers would've beaten the Philadelphia Eagles by double digits if quarterback Brock Purdy didn't suffer an injury in the NFC Championship Game.

"Just look at how well our defense was actually playing. Keeping (Jalen Hurts) in the pocket, which he doesn't like to do at all," Samuel said during an appearance on "Mad Dog Sports Radio" Thursday. "I felt like if Brock was in ... and how our offense moves, I don't think it would've been close, if that makes sense."

When asked if he thought San Francisco could have won by double digits, Samuel replied, "Yeah. Like we beat everybody else."

The receiver listed the 49ers' turnovers, penalties, and a fourth-down reception he didn't think was a catch as the key factors to the Eagles' 31-7 win.

"I'm not salty at all. I just speak facts," Samuel said.

Veteran journeyman Josh Johnson replaced Purdy in the first quarter of the conference championship matchup, but Purdy returned to the contest in the second half after Johnson suffered a concussion. Purdy finished the game with just four pass attempts. The Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate will reportedly undergo surgery to repair a torn UCL.
