New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll was named Coach of the Year at NFL Honors on Thursday night.
The Giants went 9-7-1 in Daboll's first season, making the playoffs as a wild-card team. New York finished 4-13 in 2021.
San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan and Jacksonville Jaguars coach Doug Pederson were the other finalists.
Coach | Points |

Daboll was hired away from the Buffalo Bills after his work with MVP candidate Josh Allen. Under Daboll's guidance, quarterback Daniel Jones posted career bests in completion percentage (67.2%), passing yards (3,205), and interceptions (5). Additionally, his 1.1% interception rate was the league's top mark.
Jones' ball security helped New York finish 11th in turnover differential this season. The Giants' defense forced 19 total takeaways, including the second-most fumbles (13).
Running back Saquon Barkley bounced back from a down 2021 season to accumulate 1,650 scrimmage yards and 10 total touchdowns en route to being named a Comeback Player of the Year finalist.
Daboll's Giants picked up the franchise's first playoff win since the 2011 postseason in a 31-24 victory over the 13-4 Minnesota Vikings.
