Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb thinks the team needs more talent on offense to help quarterback Dak Prescott.

"You gotta surround him. Straight like that," Lamb said when asked how the Cowboys take the next step with Prescott on the "Around The NFL" podcast.

Lamb had 1,359 receiving yards this season, making up 40% of all receiving yards the Cowboys had in 2022. Noah Brown was the only other wideout with over 500 yards.

"You look at the Eagles, they got three receivers, great tight end group. They run the ball well, O-line is very phenomenal. Look at San Fran, they surrounded their quarterback, and you get success ultimately. I mean, granted, we got just as many weapons, but that extra player, all it takes is one," Lamb said.

The Cowboys signed wide receiver Michael Gallup to a five-year, $62.5-million deal last offseason. Gallup missed the first three weeks of the campaign but only contributed 424 yards on 39 receptions in 14 games.

Dallas ranked 22nd in cap space allocated to wide receivers in 2022, according to Spotrac. The team currently has eight pass-catchers under contract for the 2023 season.

The Cowboys can save $10.9 million against the cap in 2023 if they cut running back Ezekiel Elliott after June 1, according to Over The Cap. They currently have -$7,602,887 in cap space.
