Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen does not need surgery on his injured elbow and is on track to be fully healthy for the 2023 season, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Allen has a partially torn UCL, but doctors say he is already progressing well and are confident the injury will heal with rehab and rest, according to Rapoport. Initial reports stated Allen had a UCL sprain.

The 26-year-old sustained the ailment in a Week 9 loss to the New York Jets. He wore a brace for a few games but regained his form and played without it down the stretch. He also received a platelet-rich plasma injection to help the healing process.

Allen led the Bills to the divisional round but ultimately lost to the Cincinnati Bengals. He threw for 4,283 yards with 35 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in 16 regular season starts.
