Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts set a new single-game record for rushing yards in a Super Bowl by a quarterback with 70 yards in Sunday's 38-35 loss against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hurts passed Steve McNair's mark of 64 rushing yards after picking up two yards on a quarterback sneak in the third quarter. McNair originally set the mark in Super Bowl XXXIV when the then-St. Louis Rams defeated his Tennessee Titans.

The 24-year-old tied former Denver Broncos running back Terrell Davis' Super Bowl record with three rushing touchdowns in Sunday's contest. He also ran in a late two-point conversion in the fourth quarter.

Hurts finished Super Bowl LVII with 304 passing yards and four total touchdowns.

Hurts' dual-threat ability has been a constant factor throughout the Eagles' playoff run. He scored a rushing score in both the divisional and conference playoff rounds.

The former second-round pick has tallied 1,898 yards and 26 touchdowns on the ground since being drafted in 2020. He threw for 3,701 yards and rushed for 760 this season as the Eagles locked up the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
