Severe storms and strong winds have lashed Sydney and the New South Wales Central Coast, causing flash flooding, felling trees and leaving hundreds of homes without power.
More than 22,000 lightning strikes were detected within 100km of Sydney over a 12 -hour period from Tuesday afternoon, Weatherzone said.
