Collision closes Hamilton RHVP northbound lanes Monday

A woman in her 60s has been transported to hospital in critical condition following a collision on the Red Hill Valley Parkway Monday morning.

The northbound lanes of the parkway remain closed north of Barton Street East.

Emergency services were called to the RHVP north of Barton, close to the Queen Elizabeth Way, around 7:09 a.m., said Hamilton police Const. Krista-Lee Ernst.

Two vehicles were affected, she said. The driver of one of the vehicles, a woman in her 60s, was transported to hospital in critical condition. No other people were hurt.

All traffic is being diverted off the RHVP northbound at Barton.
