Terry Ryan says shooting could have been prevented by more proactive approach to arrest Ricky Maddison
Queensland police officers were lured down a dirt road and were sitting ducks" when Ricky Maddison shot dead Snr Const Brett Forte, a coroner says.
Delivering his inquest findings, the coroner Terry Ryan said there were the hallmarks of an ambush before Maddison opened fire on police in the Lockyer Valley, west of Brisbane, on 29 May 2017.
