The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to a three-year, $38-million deal with cornerback James Bradberry, sources told Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The contract includes $20 million guaranteed, Schefter adds.

Bradberry returns to the Eagles after leading the league in passer rating allowed (48.4) in 2022.

"I went back because of the familiarity with the coaching staff because I love playing for Eagles," Bradberry said, according to Josina Anderson of CBS Sports. "Yes, there were other teams that offered more, but I feel like Philly fit me best."

The Eagles reportedly granted cornerback Darius Slay permission to seek a trade as he's looking for a contract extension. Extending Bradberry helps Philadelphia solidify the position and gives the club flexibility if it moves Slay.

The 29-year-old Bradberry signed a one-year, $7.5-million deal with the Eagles last June after the New York Giants released him to create cap space.

Bradberry has played seven NFL seasons between the Carolina Panthers, Giants, and Eagles. He's recorded 99 passes defended and 18 interceptions in 109 career games.
