He's coming off his best season, tallying 16 quarterback hits and 28 initial pressures with #49ers. Omenihu's only 25 years old.
The Houston Texans drafted Omenihu in the fifth round in 2019. The San Francisco 49ers acquired him from the Texans in November 2021 for a 2023 sixth-round pick.
The 25-year-old played in all 17 of the 49ers' regular-season games in 2022, totaling 4.5 sacks with 16 quarterback hits and 20 tackles.
Police arrested Omenihu for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence on Jan. 24 ahead of the NFC Championship Game.
