The Pittsburgh Steelers cut Myles Jack after one season, the team announced Thursday.

Releasing the 27-year-old is the latest change to the Steelers' linebacker department. The franchise signed Elandon Roberts as a free agent Thursday and reportedly added Cole Holcomb earlier in the week.

The Steelers also lost linebacker Robert Spillane to the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency. With Jack and Spillane gone and Devin Bush a free agent, Pittsburgh appears unlikely to return any of its top three inside linebackers from last season.

Releasing Jack saves the Steelers $8 million in cap space, according to Over The Cap.

Pittsburgh signed Jack to a two-year contract last offseason. He started 13 games for the team, recording 104 tackles and three tackles for a loss.
