The Lockesmith to open its doors on Locke Street South
A new spot for pub-style fare and craft pints is opening on Locke Street South.
The Lockesmith, which has taken over the building left empty by Brux House, will host its first dinner service on Wednesday, a little more than two months after the eatery began teasing its impending opening on social media.
Owner Cory Tower told The Spectator the eatery will focus on tavern-style fare, with classic staples such as fish and chips, roast chicken, burgers and sandwiches as well as steak and other more refined dishes."
The restaurant will be open for brunch, lunch and dinner - with each service having its own menu, Tower noted.
We really want to be that neighbourhood spot," said Tower, who also owns Victoria's Restaurant, Caro and My Father Was Famous. It's a great space."
The Lockesmith is located at 137 Locke St. S., at the corner of Hunter Street West. Their long-term hours and menu have not yet been released.
