Beckham to visit Jets, will reportedly undergo physical
Free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. plans to meet with the New York Jets on Monday, he told CBS Sports HQ's Josina Anderson.
Beckham, who has been linked to the Jets this offseason, will undergo a physical during the visit, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The three-time Pro Bowl wideout missed the 2022 season to rehab a torn ACL suffered during Super Bowl LVI as a member of the Los Angeles Rams.
Beckham has been a free agent for over a year. He hasn't played since splitting his 2021 campaign between the Rams and Cleveland Browns. Representatives from several teams attended a workout held by the star receiver in March to showcase his talent and health.
The Baltimore Ravens reportedly presented Beckham with a contract offer after spending time together during the league's owner meeting in Phoenix last month.
New York revamped its receiving corps this offseason, acquiring Mecole Hardman and Allen Lazard in free agency. The Jets reportedly remain confident they'll finalize a trade with the Green Bay Packers for quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Adding Beckham would provide New York's passing game with a huge boost in star power. The former LSU product has tallied five 1,000-plus-yard seasons since being drafted in 2014.
