Breaking the Ramadan fast

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at of Hamilton at the Bait Un Nur Mosque held Iftar, a fast-breaking evening meal Saturday night during celebrations of Ramadan.
Ramadan this year lasts for 29 days, ending April 21, based on the lunar cycle.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at is an international revival movement within Islam, founded in 1889 and spanning over 200 countries. There are two chapters in Hamilton. The Bait Un Nur Mosque has 450 members.
During Ramadan, members fast from sun up to sun set. At 7:54 p.m., the fast was broken with drinks of water and dates, the meal used by the Prophet Muhammad use to break his fast.
