Kilty B’s stung in Sutherland Cup play-in opener
A Zac McMann hat trick powered the Stratford Warriors past the Hamilton Kilty B's 6-3 in the opening game of the Sutherland Cup play-in Wednesday at Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena.
Jonas Smith, Cole Lewis and Jackson McLlwain rounded out the scoring for the junior-B Warriors, while Matthew Downie, Carson Lloyd and Dawson McKinney replied for the Kiltys.
The three GOJHL conference champions - the Kiltys, the Warriors and the Leamington Flyers - are playing a home-and-home round-robin for berths in the best-of-seven Sutherland Cup final.
Hamilton is back on the ice in Leamington Sunday (7:30 p.m.), before heading to Stratford April 18 (7:30 p.m.). Then, the Kiltys close out the play-in with a game at home against Leamington April 23 (5 p.m.).
