Pedestrian killed in Oakville collision

An Oakville collision claimed the life of an 89-year-old man Saturday night (Apr. 22).
The crash occurred around 8 p.m. at the corner of Trafalgar Road and Marlborough Court, north of the QEW.
Halton police report that a northbound Honda Civic - driven by a 44-year-old woman from Oakville - fatally struck an Oakville pedestrian, who was crossing the road with the assistance of his walker.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained on scene and the intersection was closed for four hours while the Collision Reconstruction Unit - with support from Forensic Identification Officers - investigated.
A member of the Regional Coroner's Office was also on scene.
