Purchasing rifles over state lines

I'm in need of some Reddit advice. I currently live in the state of Oregon but will be moving back to Washington in June and am wondering what the laws are for Washington residents to purchase a rifle in the state of Idaho. I'd normally build my own gun but I'm constrained on time and Washington's governor signed a statewide ban on assault rifles. Anyone who has gone through this process, how did you go about it? Thank you!
