My weird astigmatism and red dot sights

I've recently found out I may have astigmatism after buying a red dot for rifle. I see a star pattern instead of dot, but only in low light conditions and when not using magnifier. Otherwise it's almost crystal clear. I have a 20/20 vision and have never heard of such weird astigmatism before, so I was wondering if anyone else has similar experience. Currently, I run sig Romeo 5 (About lpvo, I don't want to run one on the setup I currently have, but might upgrade in future)
