Honouring our naval past
by The Hamilton Spectator from on (#6BJFS)
A bell was rung and white carnations were dropped into the bay from the deck of the HMCS Haida in remembrance of each of the Royal Canadian Naval Ships lost during the Second World War during the 78th anniversary ceremony of the Battle of the Atlantic.
The ceremony was hosted by HMCS Star Sunday afternoon to remember the 4,500 Canadians who lost their lives in the Battle of the Atlantic during World War II.
