A 35-year-old motorcyclist was killed Saturday afternoon after a collision in Stoney Creek, Hamilton police say.

The fatal crash occurred at Green Mountain Road and Upper Centennial Parkway, just west of the Starlite Drive-In Theatre, around 2:40 p.m.

Police say the motorcycle was headed south when it collided with a northbound Acura at the intersection.

The motorcyclist was seriously injured and later died in hospital. The driver of the Acura, a 25-year-old woman, remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators, police say.

This marks the city's seventh traffic fatality - and fourth involving a motorcycle - of the year.

Anyone with information or video of the crash is asked to contact Det. Const. Wes Wilson of the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-546-4753.

To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or crimestoppershamilton.com.
