Mini PCs and Mini-itx
by lostintime from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6CC5Y)
I am hoping to read experiences with Slackware on x86 mini PC and mini-itx systems.
Only interested in x86. Devices that idle at 25 watts or less. Preferably fanless but at least very quiet.
Prefer older tried and true hardware rather than bleeding edge.
Interested in multiple NICs or at least one expansion slot to support multiple NICs.
Being physically small as possible is not a priority.
Mostly the goal is experimenting -- a VM host, router/firewall, NAS, etc.
Not yet focused on budget. First want to learn about Slackware experiences with these types of devices.
Thanks for sharing!
