Network Controller cannot establish connection
by glupa4e from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6CER1)
Hello,
Network adapter cannot establish connection to router - neither via cable, nor wirelessly.
Restarting computer or bringing interface up or down does not help. Other devices can connect to router, so it is not the router.
Code:ifconfig eth0
eth0: flags=4163<UP, BROADCAST, RUNNING, MULTICAST>
mtu 1500
inet6 fe80: :Sef9:ddff: fe53:dd4a prefixlen 64
prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x20<tin
ether 5c: f9:dd: 53: dd: 4a txqueuelen 1000
(Ethernet)
RX packets 195 bytes 33729 (32.9 KiB)
RX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 frame 0
TX packets 66 bytes 20340 (19.8 KiB)
TX errors 0
dropped 0 overruns 0
carrier 0 collisions 0KDE Shows setting network address. Connection cannot be established in the end.
Could it be that network controller is broken already?
Other ways to debug?
